I never imagined that I could be any fitter until I met Karey. As a dedicated and driven athlete, I always felt as though I had “peaked” and that the way I looked was the best I could be. I never imagined that there was room for improvement. Then Karey came along, and showed me that I could be better, I just needed to be smarter about how I worked out and by incorporating cross training, proper technique and breathing, it would give me the results I never knew I could achieve.
In preparation for my 12th marathon (42.2km’s) I incorporated Karey’s training into my cardio program and worked hard to focus on the key elements of proper form, focus breathing, and to push myself to my limits. In Karey’s words “you can give birth to children, this is not hard”…and she’s right.
After just a few weeks of Karey’s guidance, I could see the results and watched my body transform. I was ripped. During bootcamp classes everyone asked me what I did to look the way I do, and all I say is “this is what Karey will do for you”. I have ripped abs, strong legs, a great ass and toned arms. Come October 2007, I was ready for my race. At the start line I maintained a positive mental space and remembered Karey’s words “breathe..and think positive, be smart”. I PB’d (personal best) that race with a 3h21min finish, and ranked 7th place in my age group (35-39). I then ran my third Boston Marathon in April 2008 and ran the race of my life and completed it in 3h24min with a negative split (second half was faster than the first).
I am now a fourteen time marathon runner, and three time Boston Marathon finisher and I continue to incorporate Karey’s training into my training and into my every day work out plan. I highly recommend Karey to drive you to achieve your fitness goals, regardless of what they are. It’s never too late to start, or start over. Karey will get you there.
